What might I need?
- Passport
- Your international identity document. Many destinations require it to remain valid beyond the dates of your trip, so check before making nonrefundable plans.
- Visa
- Permission from a destination country for a specific visit. Whether you need one can depend on your nationality, purpose, and length of stay.
- ETA / eTA
- An electronic travel authorization used by some countries for travelers who may not need a traditional visa. It is separate from your passport.
- eVisa
- A visa requested online before travel. Apply only through the destination government's official website linked from its country-information page.
For U.S. passport holders. Official authorities—not Booked & Bound—determine entry eligibility. Verify requirements again shortly before departure.
